I've been haring conflicting stories.

I'm curious, being I own more than one PC I'd like to
install it on, if I can install and activate it on more
than one of my computers?

Thanks,
Steve

The Windows XP End-User License Agreement states you may
install only one (1) copy of Windows XP on one (1) computer.
If you wish to install a second copy Windows XP, you'll need to
purchase another license, otherwise Product Activation will fail.

Read your Windows XP End-User License Agreement:

Start > Run and type: WINVER , and hit enter.

It clearly states that you may only install one (1) copy
of Windows XP on just one (1) computer. You will
need a new license (Product Key) for each new
installation on a different computer.

Also, open XP's "Help and Support" and type: EULA
and click on "Questions and Answers about the
End User License Agreement".

The rule is quite clear. It's one copy (or one license) for each computer.

There's nothing new here. This is exactly the same rule that's been in effect on *every* version of Windows. The only thing new is that there's now an enforcement mechanism.

Surely you're not *really* that stupid!? You mean you'd actually go out and
buy another XPee CD, when one is sitting right in front of you, after
installing a new MOBO!? You're full of shit if you say you would. How the hell
can it be "piracy", if you're keeping XPee within your own home, on only your
own systems, and not selling copies to anyone?
You people who fall for that spEULA crap like this are the most gutless bunch
of sheeple I've ever met! You should be disgusted with yourself.

Who say's you have to buy another XP CD when/if you install a new
motherboard? You can do whatever you want with the one computer you have XP
installed on.

You stupid ****ing ****! How is a legally purchased copy of XP, "piracy", and installing it on another PC is not piracy. Of course, only a gormless twat, such as yourself, would confuse breaking an agreement with piracy!

Show one shred of legal evidence [and Microsoft's words don't count]
that says that an individual installing the same copy of software on
more than one of their computers.

The choice is whether your feel your right to fair usely your copies of
legally purchased retail software in your home can be stripped away from
you by a post-sale shrinkwrap license, or not.

For once you're correct! It's the honesty of the law vs. the dishonesty
of MS's attempt to rewrite it!

Thanks for the quick response. What is your technical question?

Hello all,

Hence why I refrain from discussing anything but technical issues. From
your responses Kurt, you are more interested in riducule and rant than
actually working or discussing any technical issue.

Hello all,

I feel I am always open and respectful on the NewsGroups. I do whatever I
can to help resolve issues. I have made and continue to make offers for
assistance everyday. You are right, respect is a two way street, and I
feel that I have been traveling it in every post I have ever made on the
NewsGroups and to those who have contacted me directly.

Sounds like a dis to me. Was this comment necessary in the least?
Please!

Was this reply to me called for either?

I haven't been seeking you out. You have initiated the past couple of
direct contacts between us, and both times your responses seemed rather
contemptuous in tone. Had I replied to a post of yours with, "I had
respectful reply; however I deleted before sending," would you have
thought that I was being respectful towards you? You obviously didn't
like it when I repeated your non sequitur of a response back at you,
"Thanks for the quick response. What is your technical question?" in
response to it.

I am neither ranting or ridiculing you for your recent disdainful manner
towards me. Just pointing out that I'm not the one in our colloquy, of
late, who has been the instigator of anything. Your disregard of me and
my opinion is quite evident in your recent replies, to which I've been
gracious enough to laugh away, up until now, but if you continue to dis
me, I can't promise that my amiability towards your contemptuousness
will persist indefinitely.
