Is ther a way to have the DUN automatically disconnect when an internet
connection is no longer needed?

internet explorer \tools \ internet options
connections \ settings \ advanced
Disconnect when connect may no longer be needed

Control Panel, Internet Options, Connections page. Highlight the DUN
connection you use, click Settings, next page click Advanced and there
is a check box for it

This does not seem to work for non-microsoft programs. Any way to make
it work on other programs when you close them?
