XP Home and IBM THINKPAD 770

I TRIED INSTALLING XP HOME ON MY TP770. I GOT A MESSAGE
THAT SAID CERTAIN DEVICES, LIKE THE ULTRABAY, MIGHT NOT
WORK AFTER THE INSTALL. OF COURSE, I TERMINATED IT. I'D
LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE IS A WAY TO GO TO XP AND KEEP ALL
HARDWARE RUNNING...
