XP History & Recycle Bin Mystery

What causes the history in explorer to just disappear when
opening it to look at it? I have looked every where I
can't figure out how to keep this from happening?

Also, how can a recyle bin be full and yet now show the
files? There is obviously a way to hide the files so they
can't be seen. I'd appreciate any assistance in these
areas. Thanks!
 
For the Recycle Bin not showing deleted files: It's a common corruption
problem. Usually the quick fix is: With the Recycle Bin CLOSED, right click
the Recycle Bin desktop icon, left click: Empty Recycle Bin (you will lose
all files that are in the Bin). Then reboot your system, and the Recycle
Bin should now work normally, listing files that you delete.
