XP games

I've never really installed any games from a CD on my
Windows XP till a couple days ago. I installed two
different games compatable for XP and it seems I have to
put the CD in all the time to play the games. Is it the
game or the option on my XP computer, is there a way I
dont have to use the CD all the time....

Hi Dave C,

The majority of recent games ask you to insert the
CD to prove that you possess an original copy, as
part of the anti-piracy efforts by most publishers. ;-)

when you install a game sometimes the entire game does
not load on your computer. there is more game data like
graphics/sound/etc that is only on the cd. notice when
playing the game the cd-drive turns on and off at
different times. if entire game was loaded you would
lose lots of space on your computer and then you would be
mad about that. keep the cd handy when playing games.
