I have got an external, Zoom ADSL, modem. When I configure the ICF to run I can not connect to the Internet or retrive emails. I have also tried Sygate with the same effect. How can I configure the ICF to connect? I have already ticked all options in the Advanced settings tab except ICMP

Thank

Mac

Whatever you do, do not disable the ICF if it is the only firewall you have!
If you do, you will be attacked and infected within minutes! Obviously,
this problem you are describing should not be happening. I suggest
downloading and installing Zone Alarm and allowing Outlook Express to have
access to the internet. You can download the free version of Zone Alarm at
www.zonelabs.com. That may be difficult if you don't have a connection to
the internet that is working. Go back into ICF and reset everything to the
default levels and settings and see if you can connect. If you are
successful, immediately download Zone Alarm. When you have ZA up and
protecting your system, go back to ICF and turn it off.
