Don't know much about xp's firewall, so please forgive
me, but how can you tell if it is enabled or disabled?
I'm on dial up if that helps and use a 3rd party firewall
and was just wondering if by using a 3rd party that xp's
automatically disables. I've never really messed with it
in xp settings.

Network Connections - right click the connection concerned, Properties -
Advanced page. If it is enabled the top box will be checked.
