XP Firewall

Hi everyone,

I just read that the XP SP2 will automatically enable the builty in XP
Firewall. I use Norton and was wondering if, after the SP2 upgrade, I
should go back in a disable it. (I have it disabled now, since I use Norton
Firewall) Can you have TWO firewalls running?? Thanks.

You don't _have_ to disable the built-in firewall, but it would be
a good idea.

Running two software firewalls simultaneously is unnecessary and
can cause conflicts, possibly negating the protection of both. In any
event, having two firewalls running simultaneously is an unnecessary
drain on system resources.
