Can you connect to an XP Home machine using VPN through the firewall?

It is set up to make an incoming connection but I can not see any shared
folders when I get the VPN connected.

Thanks.

chances are the problem resides in the ip range on the remote computer. if
you are making the conection the XP firewall is letting you thru. One of the
most common mistake when using vpn software is when the ip ranges are the
same (i.e both computers have a 192.168.1.x type adress. try changing the
remote computers ip adress range to somethign different like 192.168.0.x and
keep the other network the same.

You actuall ip adresses might be different form what i posted so use you
mind to f igure the adaptations that migh be neccesary. The important thing
is to keep the second to last set of numbers different. Somethign like, if
the network you are wanting to conect to has a 192.168.0.x adress range then
the computer conecting to it might want a 192.168.1.x address range. The
issue has somethign to do with the way the vpn software does the routing.
