until a week ago lappie was OK. Viruses & adware removed with AV sw plus
firewall. Now cannot use various programs cos message comes up
"16 bit Windows Subsystem
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.NT. The system file is not suitable for running
MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications CLOSE"

Recently connected to a network and its printer & internet connections.
Otherwise no known changes. I removed everything I can think of but cannot
find rogue driver or whatever. Microsoft their usual helpful self - NOT.

thanks & kind regards
Tim

See "Error Message When You Install or Start an MS-DOS or 16-Bit
Windows Based Program" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=324767).
