I've just installed Windows Xp Pro on my brand new
Hitachi Deskstar 120Gb hard drive and all worked fine. I
downloaded all suggested updates from Microsoft and
installed them. ( about125Mb ) , now when I start my PC I
get an "Error Message" on my desktop saying in the top
blue line of the displayed box: "SysExplr.exe -
Application Error."
Below that next to a red circle with a white "X" in it
there is this message:
"The application failed to initialize properly
(0xc000005). Click on OK to terminate the application."
I have to click this 'OK' twice and the Error Box
disappears and my system seems to work fine. Does anyone
know what has caused this "SysExplr.exe" error message
and how can I get rid of it. I could probably use the
Windows XP Restore feature but would this wipe out the
Updates which took me hours to download from Microsoft?
Any help would be welcomed,
Kindest regards,
