XP Embedded with .NET 1.1 Framework and HP T5700 thin client

Hi

I have a HP thin client T5700 with 256 flash and 256 RAM and I am trying to use an application on it that was written with the dotnet framework. The application does not run because XPe SP1 seems to only support .NET 1.0 rather than .NET 1.1

Can anybody help me out or know of how to install .NET Framework 1.1 onto a HP thin client. When I try to install it an error occurs during the installation which you can continue from, but upon completion the .NET Framework Control Panel does not properly, nor does the application
