XP doesn't recognize my CDR/RW

I recently installed XP(replacing 98)and the
CeQuadrat "Just Burn" program that came with the computer
(Compaq Presario 7895) will not recognize the CD burner.
Any ideas? The CD player plays fine, but it won't
recohnize that it can record.
