Installed automatically downloaded XP updates. Computer now continuously
turns-off and restarts. Tried safe mode and all options within but problem
persists. Eventually the follow message is displayed: "Urlmon.dll is
possibly corrupt. Header checksum not equal to computed checksum" (or
something close to this). Any suggestions.

When you bring up the Windows XP Startup Menu (the one with Safe Mode
and other startup options) is there an option to "disable automatic
restart on system failure"?

If so then choose that option then try the normal or safe mode
startup. If it does not start up you should get a "Blue Screen Of
Death" STOP error message instead of restarting. The contents of the
BSOD, including any STOP code, the 4 associated parameters, and any
file or module name mentioned will be a direct clue as to the
underlying cause of your problem.

Good luck

Silly move. Why install drivers for cards that are working OK?
