XP computer name chang

[Cookie]

If I change the computer name , it dosent change all the
names in the regisery, and on login after reboot cannot
find a domain server....Even though a domain was not setup
origanaly and is not used on the network.
If manually change the registery the fault disapears,
there for the name change utility dosent!
IS there a fix ?

not sure the problem. but if this is a domain workstation, you may need to
clean the DNS records first and re-join the domain.
