XP client not recognizing users with adminstrative rights

I have a little home network on a 4.0 server which used to work fine. XP
problems necessitated a clean install. Ever since then, my XP machine will
not recognize any user that has been granted administrative rights except
for the Administrator. I have created new users to no avail. I have check
and rechecked settings on both the server and client. I have set the
security permissions on drives and folders to allow full rights to
administrative rights holders. But I still run into messages stating
administrative rights are required to perform certain task when logged in as
anything other that the Administrator.

Please tell me there is some answer other than another clean install.

It's set up on a domain. All machines (3 currently) appear in my Network
Places.

Now I have another question. When I tried to reply to your message I got a
message stating I needed some Simple MAPI compatible mailer to do so. Where
do it get one?

Thanks for your interest!

I checked in the control panel under System and found the XP machine name
and showed it as a member of the domain.

Thanks much,
Vaughn
