XP auto logon

I have an XP PC on a peer-to-peer network running a custom app. I have the
PC set to auto logon as Administrator, but when it logs on, the app won't
run. If I just log off (not shut down) and log back on using the exact same
logon info it works fine. The software manufacturer says its a Windows issue
(of course). Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Hi Tim,

Have you tried to run this without using auto-logon? Either way, more info
here:

Run and RunOnce Registry Keys

Run and RunOnce registry keys cause programs to run each time that a user
logs on. The data value for a key is a command line. Register programs to
run by adding entries of the form description-string=commandline. You can
write multiple entries under a key. If more than one program is registered
under any particular key, the order in which those programs run is
indeterminate.

Hi Kelly,

The application in question runs fine when we logon normally. It is only
when we auto logon that it will not run, until you logoff and log back on
manually. We are not looking to have the app start automatically, just to
have it be able to run after an auto login.
