XP and Cool Edit Pro 2.0

cool edit pro 2.0 has encountered a problem and needs to close

this message appears immediately everytime i try to open
the program, any help as to how to by-pass this would be
apprieciated
 
You can try runnig it in compatibility mode. If it doesn't-buy Adobe
Audition (as its now called)
 
It should run fine in WinXP. I have it running on an XP Pro system without
any problems.
Try uninstalling it, then reinstall.
 
Registered users of Cool Edit Pro 2.0 are entitled to a upgrade
to Adobe Audition 1.0. I would go to the Adobe Audition site &
download your upgrade, install it and see if the problem exists in
Audition.
