HELP: second hard drive appears in BIOS but is not
recognized by XP

ANSWER: Is this a new, unformatted drive? If so, it won't appear in the My
Computer; it should however appear in the Device Manager. To create a
partition on it & format it, go to Disk Management (right click on the My
Computer icon, select Manage, then in the Computer Management window
left-hand pane click on "Disk Management". Right-click on the new drive in
the right-hand pane if it's visible, and you can create partitions from
there.
