I installed XP pro on my computer and forgot to activate it. The 30 day time
period ran out and if possible I don't want to have to reinstall it. I have
all the updates already downloaded up to XPSP2. How can I extend the period
so I can activate?

Reboot tapping F8 each second.
Select Safe Mode at the menu.
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Activate Windows
Choose the option to activate by phone.
Call the displayed number, done in about 5 minutes.

Hello,
The Activation Wizard should still run even though the activation grace
period has run out.
You should get to the logon prompt and be prompted to activate, which
should be your only choice.
What are you seeing?
Thanks,
Darrell Gorter[MSFT]

Never had that happen before and didn't realize it was that easy. Any ideas
on why I can't access hotmail/or any webmail via xp home edition sp2? Does it
have to do with the built in firewall? I have another computer in the same
office that can get to it running off the same ISP.
