XP 64 Installation issues

after the initial setup of partitioning the Drive and installing all the
files to the Hard Drive the System reboots, but then it never begins to
install Windows instead i get the following error:

Invalid Boot.ini file
Booting from C:\windows\
NTDETECT failed

Ive got the Intel D 3Ghz with the 945GTP Chipset. I downloaded the F6
drivers from the intel site, and that worked fine. Nothing is overclocked,
everything is stock. There is only one drive in the System on which im
installing xp.

I have already tried the boot.ini fix by going into the recovery console as
stated in the link below. it did not work.
