XL Stuck showing Formula and not calculating

Hi, I jts wrote a formula in a spreadsheet and when clicking "Enter" it just
shows the text of the formula as opposed to the result. The formula is
correct as the result is proper (I can see it in the function wizard).
I have used F9 and Shift+F9 and no joy.
I have checked the "Calculation" Tab in Tools\Options and checked that the
Automatic Calculation was enabled and it is.
What to do now????????

Oooops.
I answered my own question.
I had one of the cells the formula was referring to, formatted as "Text".
I formatted as "General" and OK now.

the cell is probably formated as 'Text'. Goto 'format - Cells' and
choose 'general'. Now re-enter your formula
