XCACLS.VBS

Phil Dean

I have a call currently into microsoft which I'm waiting
to hear back from them, but what I'm after is the
XCACLS.VBS stated on there website in Articles 822790 and
825751.

I've created a VB program to strip me only the changes in
folder permissioning and did not know about the issue with
Xcacls and the /E switch until last friday. I don't have
the time to modify my program and complete the
permissioning by this thursday.

I need a copy of the XCACLS.VBS script in either word or
program form so I can complete my work.

Is anybody able to help out there.

Thanks

Phil.

Hi

SETACL (freeware) at http://setacl.sourceforge.net/
sets permissions correctly.

There’s an older version on a CD contained on an MS book: Windows
Security Resource Kit

I was going to try to post the latest version (v4.9 May 19-04 ) here
but it was blocked. I’ll shoot you a copy if you let me know where to
send it to or point me to a public spot where you would like me to
upload it. The author at MS OK’s distribution but didn’t want to get
slammed with a ton of emails...
