In scanning my drives I find that I have been infected
with the XABOT worm .I followed the Symantec instructions
for removal with changes to the registry. I found that a
lot of the changes were not on my computer , so I assume
I did not need to worry about those that weren't there.
After all of that, I still have the worm and can anyone
tell me how to get it off the computer without doing a
total reinstall.
I have all the latest updates to my virus and security,
along with Spybot and Ad-aware.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks .Moe

Did you do your scans in Safe Mode? Did you remember to disable System
Restore, reboot, clean up the computer, then enable System Restore
again? If you didn't disable System Restore, perhaps the worm is in
those files and that is why you are getting the message. If that is the
case, you can remove all but the last (presumably clean) System Restore
point from the Disk Cleanup utility (Accessories>System Tools).
