x64 RC2 upgrade x64 crashes with error 0xC0000005

Upgrading from RC1 to RC2 on a x64 platform (Acer Ferrari 4000) crashes with
error 0xC0000005. The upgrade worked fine up right up to expanding file.
Machine then normally restarts, then stops after 52% progress while copying
files.

Any insights?

Upgrade problems are much commoner than Clean Installs and usually much
quicker too. My own RC2 from RC1 failed on "Unsuitable" but the clean install
was quick and perfect. Do a clean install!
