If you didn't install the sound card drivers you probably
also didn't install all the other drivers to make the
computer perform to its fullest. Those drivers may include,
motherboard chipset, video, network card, wireless, and many
more. Make sure that you download and install all the
drivers from the manufacturer's web site and don't use the
ones that are loaded with Windows Update.
