I am taking a statistics class and am doing my homework in Excel. The
teacher want us to show our work and I am trying to locate the X bar symbol
(X with a line on top of it) or create it. In Word there is a formula
({eq\0(x,-)}. Is there something in Excel that works?

Use the equation editor.

you may need to install it, add-remove programs, microsoft office,
change.
then you need to go into detailed optioins (depending on your version
of office this will be worded differently)

it's a part of the office tools menu path. Make sure you choose run
from hard drive

then in excel/word/whatever insert->object->microsoft equation 3.0

there's all kinds of neat things if you're doing statistics

I downloaded the equation editor and your right, it does provide some cool
statistic stuff. I'm going to share with my class and maybe gain some extra
points. Thanks!

Thanks. This is just what I was looking for. When I am not using the
equation editor as suggested above.. Thanks so much.
