80% of the time this is because you unknowingly downloaded
spyware. Two awesome programs that have saved me numerous
times from this frustration are AdAware and Spybot. You
should be able to search and find both via any search
engine. I know AdAware is located at Lavasoft.de. Try
running these and see if it helps.
