Wxp writes last access time

Each time one accesses a file, Wxp writes(updates) the access time file
parameter. How does one stop that? Is there something in the registry one
could alter?

"Access" time really is any access, and that's what it's supposed to
record. On the other hand the date of a file you usually want to know
is the "Modification" time. If you're seeing this in Explorer you may
need to change what columns you have showing so you see the Mod time
rather than the Access time. I don't believe there's anyway to open or
even click on a file and not have the Access time change.

Thanks John John. But NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate only applies to
directories. Is there any other DisableLast Access Update?
