I got mine thru DomainPeople.com. They are located in Quebec.

www.godaddy.com - for domain registration... as opposed to hosting.
For regional (.ca, .uk, .au, etc.) domains, you'll need someone
different - I use CIRA for .ca domains.

My domain is a .org here in the US but the woman who originally created the
site used DomainPeople. When it came time to renew the other year I just
continued with them - didn't know any better and I can't complain. A local
(for the original web coordinator) company hosts the site. Tech support
isn't the greatest but it is fairly reliable.
