WS2_32.dll problem

I am getting the following message pop up about every 5 mins

The procedure entry point freeaddrinfo could not be located in the dynamic
link library WS2_32.dll.

I think this may have been deleted from registry during a disk clean! Is
this a reinstal job or is there another way round? I am on XP home and
recently installed update 2 but I dont think thats the cause. I am a relative
novice 2. Appreciate any help.

Did you ever find a solution to the message, "the procedure entry point
freeaddrinfo could not be located..."?
If so, would you mind sharing with me, I'm having the exact same problem.
