Wrong web site loading

There is 1 web site (local newspaper) that I used to
visit frequently. But starting yesterday, whenever I try
to go to it, I get prompted for the user name and
password that I need to get to a different web page I
frequently visit (and it is only accessible through a
VPN). I can go to any other web page without such
redirection. Any ideas?
