Hello!

I am trying to use OleDB or ODBC to connect to an Jet DB *.MDB file.
I am using Windows Server 2003 and .Net 2005 beta, but I can't connect to
it.

Alla I get is "The .Net Framework OleDb Data Provider requires Microsoft
Data Access Components(MDAC) version 2.6 or later. Version 2.12.4202.3 was
found currently installed."

I have MDAC 2.8 (automatically) and have installed the Jet 4.0 engine SP8
(KB829558).
I have also uninstalled .Net FW and reinstalled it again.

Any ideas (except: "don't use a beta version").
Regards Magnus

Hi, I am having the Exact same problem. The same code runs fine on my local
machine (windows xp box), but when I upload it to my server (windows server
2003) it gives me that error. I have run the component checker and verified
the correct version for all files. I have tried to uninstall and manually
install MDAC also. Neither works.
Any help would be greatly Appreciated!
Tammy

Hi Magnus,

You might start with version checker to find the version actually
installed - just to be sure.

Hello!

I really don't get how these component versions should be compared, but
you can see a picture of it at http://www.mikla.nu/cc.htm
