Wrong timestamp when copying messages

When I copy (not move) an email from inbox to another folder, the received
time and date changes to the time and date when I copied the email.

And the strange thing is this only happened when I select "Copy to Folder"
from the Edit menu, if I copy it using keyboard using ctrl-c and then paste
in new folder using ctrl-v it shows the actual received timestamp.

Please suggest how to resolve this problem.

I can not reproduce this in Outlook 2003 or 2007. In both those versions,
it retains the original timestamp, as it should.

I am not aware of this as a past flaw, but what version are you using, and
in case it was fixed somehow along the way, are you up to date in the
service packs and patches?

I am using Ofice 2003 with the latest service pack and hotfixes. I am able to
replicate it on all the machines I tried. Say on about 10 different machines.

Were they from the same image, though?

I don't have any plugins or antivirus or antispam or anything on the box I
tested it on.
I wonder if someone else can chime in with confirmation of such an issue.

Interesting.

No all of the machines are individual installations and with different user
id's and profiles.

To make it more clear I will see the incorrect received date only in the
Inbox or folder received tab, the created tab always shows the correct time
and also if I open the mail I will see the correct received time.

Imagine these tabs on tops and result after copying to other folder.

Or let me know if there is a way to post the screenshot
