The font used to create symbols such as up/down
left/right scroll arrows, the arrow to indicate sub
menus, the radio buttons to select an option etc. all
seem to have changed from Webdings to Wingdings!!

For example the submenu indicator, normally > is now
a 'mouse' (computer not micky) symbol.

Anybody know haw to correct this.

Problem occured after installing Serif Drawplus 4 ( Serif
have not yet replied)

Uninstalling Drawplus does not fix the problem.

Since you can clearly connect this to installing Drawplus, it will be
easiest to do a System Restore to before you installed that program.
Try that, and if it doesn't work, post back.

Tried a sys restore but that made no difference

With further research I found that XP uses a hidden Font called Marlett to
produce scroll arrows etc.
My marlett font proved to be missing. I expanded the font from the XP CD and
on restart all is now back to normal.

Thanks

I'm so glad you got it fixed. Thanks for posting the answer, too. That's
always helpful to others and I like knowing what happened.

Cheers,
