Wrong e-mail name.

On a company network my log in and e-mail name in outlook were not spelled
correctly. The I.T dept finally sorted it out, but after some sort of
upgrade my outlook e-mail name has gone back to the old spelling.

I did a search on the wrongly spelled name and it seems to come from an ost.
file in documents and setting. Can I just correct the spelling in this file,
and if so what program would I edit it with. I tried notebook but it is just
gibberish.

Where exactly are you looking?
Where is your named spelled wrong?
The ost-file is only an off-line cache of your on-line mailbox. It cannot be
edited but that doesn't matter as it doesn't play a role in this issue.
Also, which version of Outlook are we talking about here?

I did an all files search for the incorrectly spelled name. I had files and
folders under both names. I deleted everything with the name spelled
incorrectly and the only thing I can find now is a reference to the wrong
name in this ost file.

My name is spelled wrong on e-mails and at the top of the page when outlook
opens.
