Writing & Executing Scripts for FileMaker server

I need to automate the closing and opening of my databases I host on a
FileMaker Server that I am running on Windows XP. The script files I've
created using the FileMaker assistant(wizard) don't work.

I've been to the script center and I'm not sure what this means.
