Writing a directshow source filter

How does one go about writing a Directshow Source Filter? Learning
resources and a sample application would be great.

Thanx for that. I could not find a sample source filter in the
examples/samples. Any ideas?

There used to be a push source filters sample (CPushSourceDesktop) in Direct
SDK\Samples\DirectShow\Filters or something like that. I haven't been
programming in the multimedia field in several years, so I don't know the
current drectory structure of the DirectX SDK samples.

You may be able to get more help in a directx related newsgroup.
