Write-Protected RW Disk

When try to backup to CD-RW disk that erased
and re-formatted, get message "Disk Is Write-Protected"
"Remove Write-Protection or Use Another Disk. Have
several backup disks and this is only one get such message.

Prefer to try and use this disk again, but have no idea
what above means or how to remove write-protection.
Any info much appreciated.

Roxio CD Creator 5 Platinum with all updates installed.
With sever other backup RW's using same software
have no problems reading, writing, deleting, etc.
