write-protected mmd

Vista keeps telling me that my mmd-card is write protected and therefor i
cannot transfer my data... how the f* do i unprotect a media that cannot be
unprotected - its like if the bios says that no keyboard was present and
wants me to hit F1 to continue...

Btw XP never had any problem with my mmd-card

I don't think it's the card that's protected, it's
what's on the card that's protected !

Is it music you have ?

If so, perhaps Windows Rights Management (WRM)
may have something to do with it. I have the same
problem with downloaded music (legally paid for)
in Xp Sp2 not working in Vista.

Colin Barnhorst is the guy to ask about this one !

Best of luck and happy 2007.

Some cards have a sliding lock on them like floppy disks do. Perhaps that's
your trouble?

I knew some one would suggest that - but no - there is no switch. Its a mmd
for my Nokia9500 - 1GB - its just that Nokia PC Suite takes like a year
transfering few mb data. I use to take out the mmd and put into my
cardreader, inbuilt in my laptop... XP never complained and always
transfered the data pretty quickly though
