Write once read meny section of the registry?

This might be alittle off topic, but im wondering if anyone knows if theres somewhere in the registry
that i can write to but not delete or change.
im making a application with 30 days trial on it but i dont really know where to store the
first date the program was run.

any suggestions appriciated, thanks!
