write notes to a cell

Can I write a note to a cell that already has an alternate function

OK... I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for... but have yo
tried entering a comment?

Rightclick the cell,
Click on "Insert Comment"
Then type whatever you want the note to read.

After that, all you have to do to read the note is to hover your curso
over the cell and a little box will appear displaying the information.
