Write delayed errors and Eventid 51

Scott

I am getting a lot of event Id 51 error messages on my
server. The users are reporting out of disk space
messages and the server is reporting write delay error
messages. I have downloaded perfectdisk and diskkeeper
and run those I am unable to run chkdsk. "It says can
not can not open volume for direct access"

I really need help with this.

Thanks

We too are seeing these errors crop up on one of our SQL
Clusters. About 20 a minute of the same error:
An error was detected on device \Device2\Drive 2 during a
paging operation.

We initally thought that it was our EMC drive having a
problem or the HBA but it points back to a configuration
issue in the SQL Cluster node. I have been reading the NG
but to no avail. If anyone can assist I would be grateful.

If you want to do a chkdsk, it will likely need to be done at the time of
system reboot. From a command line, issue a chkdsk /f or chkdsk /f /r and it
should schedule a chkdsk for the next time your server reboots. If you're
running in a clustered environment, read the following KB for more details:

How to Run the CHKDSK /F Command on a Shared Cluster Disk
