Write Conflict

I just set up my database to use MySQL and every time I open a form or change
a record I get the write conflict where it says:

"This record has been changed by another user since you started editing it.
If you save the record, it will overwrite the changes that the other user
made. Copying the record to the clipboard will allow you to see the changes
that the other user entered and then paste your changes back in if you decide
to make the changes.

I know that Access has a record locking feature. Is this something that
needs to be disabled and how do I do that
