wrapping text round an object in powerpoint

any ideas how I can tell the text in a box to wrap around an object that
overlaps it in powerpoint?

Mandy,
The short answer is that you can't. To work around it you can create several
textboxes and position them. Or create the whole thing in Word and copy and
paste special it to PowerPoint as a graphic. Or create a WordArt and fiddle
with it till it fits around the object.
