Wrap Text Fuction

When using the wrap text format for a single cell, the row
height will automatically increase to fit the content.
However, if you use the wrap text format when you merge
two cells together, the row height will not automatically
increase. I would like to merge several cells together in
a row and use the wrap text format and have the row height
automatically increase to fit the conent. Is there a way?
