Wrap before sending??

My Wife likes to know EXACTLY where lines will break. We send using Plain
Text and set the "Automatically wrap at XX characters when sending" to
whatever we want.

The trouble is that this setting is ignored when composing the message.
When the message is sent the line breaks are at different places. Is there
any way to set up the message editior so that it wraps at the set number of
characters? I know that I will have to use a fixed width font like Courier.

We can use either Word or the native editor.

Note that depending on what program the recipient uses, the lines may wrap
in the window, the same as you see, or they may break after as little as 40
characters, resulting in lines of different lengths.

Try setting word to fixed width and enabling the ruler. The page margin
controls will show you where the page ends. Adjust the window width so it's
about one scroll bar wider than the scroll bar and the words should wrap on
screen as they will in sent messages.
