Would Like to set up a Guest Links Page

I'm setting up my new website and would like to add a
page where my guests can add their own links to the
website. Is there anyway to do this under Front Page 2002
where it will automatically create the hyperlink? I
thought of using a guestbook, but the link just shows up
as text w/o the underline. I'm pretty new to FP so any
help would... help :) Thanks!

Prior to my site having functional server extensions, I set up my own
guestbook using a form for entry, saving to a DB and using a DRW to view the
guestbook. The DRW can be set up to display the hyperlinks.

I don't know what capabilities the guestbook in FP XP. I haven't used
either. There may be other options.

I think you would have to save your guestbook results to a
database, and include a special form field for URLs.

Next, you would use the database results wizard to
generate the display page. At first, the URL column will
still display as text, but you can fix that by right-
clicking the column, choosing Database Column Value
Properties, and selecting the Display As Hyperlink check
box.

Unless you are expecting many, many links to be provided,
why don't you consider a low tech solution? Have those
folks send their suggested links to you via email.

This way you would have the means of checking to make
sure no links are made public on your site which are
unacceptable. For instance, your site could suffer if
some wise a.. put a link out there to a porn site.
