would like to apply a task folder's custom view to a new folder

My main Task folder is highly customized to my taste. When I create a new
Task folder under it for a specific project, I usually want to use the same
custom view (fields, order, sorting, etc.). I would like to be able in the
"new folder" process to apply the view from the main folder (or from another
customized task folder) to the new one so that I don't have to recreate the
view step-by-step again.

This feature could also apply to mail folders.

What you need to make this happen is a view that works on all task folders. If the view you're already using is specific the Tasks folder, you can use the View | (Arrange By) | Current View | Define Views dialog to make a copy of the view that you can apply to all task folders.

The same applies to mail folders.
