Plextor announced what it claims to be the smallest DVD Burner!
Weighing in at just 250g, the drive is a mere 1.6cm high and barely bigger than a disc.

I supports all DVD formats including dual-layer media from 4x to 8x. The drive will also burn CD-R/RW discs at 24x. Buffer memory on board is 2 MB.

No power adaptor is bundled as the drive is bus powered and can be connected via USB cable.

The price has not been disclosed, however the drive would be avalable through is dealers starting October 2006.

Wow that is small :eek: I'm impressed that they can get all of the power from a normal USB cable, IIRC it is only 250mA.
 
hmmm, wonder if its mac compatible

ian i think its 500mA from a USB port, but thats still impressive i thought it would need more power than that
